PhD Course Bodies:
Academic Board (Collegio Docenti)
The Academic Board is the principal scientific body of the doctoral program. Its aims include:
- Supervising the scientific quality of the PhD curriculum and its implementation
- Approving proposals for new course offerings or curricular changes
- Monitoring progress and evaluation standards for doctoral students
- Ensuring coherence across research lines and interdisciplinarity
Executive Board (Consiglio Direttivo)
The Executive Board is established by the Academic Board, and it consists of members from the Academic Board, including the Coordinator, the Deputy Coordinator, one representative from each curriculum, and one representative from each proposing Department or Centre.
It has some of the functions and tasks of the Academic Board.

PhD students representatives
A representation of PhD students, equal to 15%, rounded up, of the overall number of Board members, participates in the Academic Board meetings with voting rights only when teaching and organisational issues are discussed. This representation is elected annually.
The representatives of the PhD students on the Academic Board appoint two representatives from among the Board’s members to participate in Executive Board meetings only when teaching and organisational issues concerning the PhD programme are discussed.

Advisory Board (Comitato Consultivo)
The Advisory Board plays an advisory and guiding role with regard to the educational project of the PhD Programme and the identification of career opportunities. This advisory and guidance role is particularly significant during the activation phase of a new PhD Programme project and within the framework of Monitoring and Review activities.
The Board supports the Programme Coordinator in monitoring activities, also through the analysis of indicators provided by the relevant administrative office, and in listening to PhD candidates’ feedback (through opinion surveys, including tools for collecting opinions such as AlmaLaurea end-of-year and end-of-programme questionnaires).
